Is the NBA becoming a joke by not allowing the game to be played fairly?

Not calling fouls on the home team, not calling traveling, what's the deal with the NBA? The second round of the playoffs has been a debacle, and it has exposed many flaws of the officiating. Why can't the NBA just allow the game to be played as is? When a home team wins by 20 and then loses by 20 away on the road, it's kind of glaring that something is not right.

I get more disillusioned with the NBA everyday, it's a shame.|||Your question, which is more of a statement is absolutely one of the truest things I've seen, read, heard about or known in the last ten to fifteen years. I too, get more disillusioned with it everyday. If you even look at just the aspect of what is travelling. I honestly don't know anymore when it comes to the NBA. Starting to move or drive, without starting to dribble first is completely normal now. And exactly how many steps is someone allowed to take on their way towards the basket? Somewhere between 2 and 5 it seems.

Oh yeah, and that other example you cited of playoff caliber team and the point disparity when they win at home and lose on the road. My God! Referees ought to be praying for forgiveness of their sins during every timeout.

It's unwatchable.|||No, it is becoming a joke because players and fans worry about refs rather than solely focusing on the game and winning (e.g. Cry-baby Rasheed Wallace with all his technical fouls and your question.). Plain simple- the refs ought not to tell the players and fans how to play and enjoy the game respectively and plays and fans should not whine to and on refs in regards to officiate. Period. Nothing fans or players do or say will change a call. Leave worrying about the quality of the refs to the NBA league and General Managers. There are men literally paid millions annually to worry about stuff. How much do you get paid to worry about it?|||i agree, i am a kobe fan and a laker fan but even i see the stuff that kobe and the lakers do that gives them unfair advantages. the other team that cheats and NEVER gets called is the utah jazz, watch for three seconds and lots of no call fouls|||the thing is that the referees are not allowed to review the fouls. they are only allowed to review fights and game winners and all that.

well if ur at home the refs are paid to ref on ur side or else they wouldnt hire you|||Ya they want the best teams to win look what happend to my Warriors and that costed them a shot at the playoffs

http://youtube.com/watch?v=piHxZ42ILtA%26amp;f鈥?/a>|||well that's what home courts are for, and why teams fight to earn it.|||NBA is a joke they dont call fouls when they should and its "stars" get away with anything...|||i think i only like college basketball because of the reasons you suggest.|||well maybe that's the meaning of home court advantage...|||yea man.....i dont think you really know what you are talking about.....really.....|||U forgot that they are afraid to call simple calls on the 'STARS'. Jazz fans felt that the most in the 98 finals where Jordan pushed off bryon Russell and got the final shot and there was not foul called! NBA sucks, they want LA to win all the championship that's why they cheated UTAH in game 5!!!|||its all the refs fault and kobe's too...

LOL...

kobe sucks
