In the 90's basketball was the biggest and most popular sport in the country and Michael Jordan became a global icon and one of the most recognized athletes ever.
However nowadays the NFL and MLB have surpassed basketball as the top sports in America. I even think nowadays college football is more popular then NBA basketball.
Why is this?
NFL football is Americas passion now and I think it will be the top sport long into the foreseeable future but will NBA basketball ever be on the same level as football or at least surpass baseball as the # 2 sport?
What was it during the Jordan-era that made NBA basketball the # 1 sport?|||No...................
The NFL will always be the biggest.
Their will be a lockout in the NBA after next season ,That means the NBA falls below MLB|||cuz jordan was a great plaer
